Wow!!!

Sheer brilliance... Yet what else may one expect from the masterful Maestro Sorrow?

MaestroSorrow responds:

It takes a brilliant mind, to find brilliance in anything Darkotaku ;).

many thanks for the review.

yum... TASTY!!!

It sounds like it's straight out of silent hill. You are going in my favorites list!

Listen to some of my music (a silenced voice... With each passing breath... Black skies)

TheCon-Sept responds:

The goal of this piece was to freak out the listener. Yes it would fit well into a silent hill game as well as some other titles like Resident Evil. In this piece I used various voice clips at a downtoned rate to add the effect of someone speaking in a inaudiable voice.

The picture in my mind that I created with this song was someone who was in a dark time walking into a house. He reaches the basement to find a bunch of huge creatures inside huge glass tubes with nothing attached to them. but they seem to be at peace with the substnde in the tube floating in silence. then they awaken and start mumbling with their eyes closed. then the part with the violin I pictured some weird little boy on a violin with a white face and no eyelashes playing the violin. as he is playing the violin electric currents flow out of his hair causing it to move every time he strokes the strings on the violin. then as he is playing the huge glass tubes move around and the static from the ghostly white boy light up the room and the monsters open up their glowing eyes. They shift their eyes all over the place while moving slowly in the glass tubes. but they seem to be enjoying the haunting violin. then at the end they all return to suspended animation as you exit the basement in a hurry.

I want to create a music video with the Aphex twin on this because he is the ultimate one man arsenal when it comes to special effects. I wish I could contact him but his E-Mail is a fake because he doesn't respond to any fan mail from his inbox.

I used a combination of 4 drumloops in this piece with added effects to make them sound different and ghost like. Free cookies to who ever can hear each individual one and tell me the sample names.

It's like...

The alternative soundtrack to Escaflowne.
Seriously, this is really good. Nothing to criticize. Absolutely perfect. You are in my favorites list.

GeijinTakashi responds:

Now that I look at it, it does look like an alternative to Escaflowne. Oh well, it had no connection to this. Glad you like it, I will return the favor!

That can be done.

There's something... o_0

There's something about your music that reminds me of childrens movies, or sitcoms or something. I can't quite place it. Maybe it's the soundfonts.

Anyway, another good piece. Keep up the good work.

Rythim-Man responds:

It's probably the child in my singing out in my music. Oh the soundfonts, yea, those are pretty simple too, I think I'd do much better with better soundfonts...sadly I have no idea how to do that lol.

This is a year old too, that might be it too.

Basicly the slow beggining is the kids waiting for the last bell to wring for spring break. Then the song is different kids doin their own different thing in spring break, hence, different instruments, and different themes singing the same song of Spring break.

And then the same song in D minor, sorta my way of proving everything got it's bad side.

Then it's back to the regular theme, and we just trying to make the most of the last days of Spring Break.

Then school starts and u got that stupid boring tune again. Gosh I hate school!

Sweeeet...

It's like some saturday morning sticom tune or something.
Seriously though! It's really good. The only thing that could have been better would have been more realistic soundfonts. Also; I liked the begining.

Yo thanks with the reviews, you are clearly one of the best audio artists on NG. Glad you reviewed some of my songs. Keep up the good work.

I like how you describe my music as childish =\

This is after I broke up with my girl so I've gotten alot more innocent lately. Don't blame me if it comes out of my newer songs.

Very nice! ^_^

Overall, a very calming, and well rounded piece. I like how simple it sounds. That's a good thing when done right. You don't need complicated melodies and variations to create a mood. You have talent!

I've never heard of the game,
but thank you for the review!

HEADSHOT!!!

This reminds me of some of Redslash's early work. Which is why I gave it a ten. It shows that you have a lot of potential, and will grow alot artistically. Fun to listen to. A piece of nostalgia for me! :3
