XD Laaav it!!!

I'm never very good wif a citrus! *squiggle*

But you pulled it off perfectly! It's so relaxing, I love it! Noffin a criticize, buzzy did it again (made a perfect remix)!

*hoogs*

Nami-Oki responds:

Sank yew!

Lav it! X3

This is a buzzy's best song yet! XD

You've made wonderful use of FL Studio's default (predominantly osc3x based?) soundfont sets, loops and otherwise! Normally, when an artist uses the default sets with the program, they sound generic, or blend into other peoples work, but you've managed to execute this song beautifully without even a hint of triteness or unoriginality, but, in point of fact, just the opposite...

Your vision (a better word fails me) of this track is fresh and avant-garde... And never have I heard this pseudo-gameboy esque (more on that in a moment) sound work so well with an otherwise classical song, since, well I actually can't think of when.

Now a bit about the sound with disregard to the source material or context in which it's provided... At first, this track sounds like it's borrowing from the pseudo-gameboy genre (listen to kurenai-lightotaku for example), but at closer scrutiny, it somehow manages to avoid any genre, even that of gameboy music: which is a brilliant achievement in itself!

This track is genre defying, original, and it doesn't hurt that it's incredibly catchy either (I've listened to it about 10 times already).

My only dissenting comment is that I only wish it were longer, but that's just me. >w<

P.S. Lav you buzzy!

Nami-Oki responds:

Sank you! <3

Silly wear...

We think you are being very modest. It is cute but not of the necessary. We think you have done a very good job, and that this silliest of silly ranks of merely kinda awesome is the highest of overstatements. Surely you do not see that this is more than awesome! It is truly magnificent in it's glorious splendor, and it makes us very proud! You are of royal stature, and it is proven by the marvelous execution of your doing in the writing of this much praise worthy track? Do you not think?

Nami-Oki responds:

Gah *hugs!* <3 I love it when you talk like that my King~ *Worships* X3

(You so totally had that coming)

And thank you! <3

XD That's so cool, wear! <3

I luvs it! :D
You're getting so good at this! An amazing feat for your first 'fast' remix. I really like what you've come up with, and while I haven't heard the original version, I can only assume how different it must be.
Very well done!

Nami-Oki responds:

S'ank you my lovely little bear! <3 ^^

Hi bearses! :D

Very nicely done. I really can't think of anything to criticize, except that a more definitive ending would have helped the track. But it in no way deters from the overall light-heartedness, and kingdom hearts esque feel. (especially when the marimbala's kick in). Another great one! XD
(so proud of mah wear)

Nami-Oki responds:

Thankoo burr!

Yeah burr!!! XD

This is so awesome! X3

My smart bear is learning so fast!

I really can't think of anything to criticize. The feeling to this song is so sweet/melancholy, I love it! :D

I don't think I've ever heard the original, but I really really love this! XD

I can't stop listening

Just marry me or something! X3

Nami-Oki responds:

xD I do! <3

Thank you bear, you should hear the original ending, it's my favorite theme in any video game ever!

I gotses your comment virginity! :p

I really like this alot bear! That's so good for your first mix! XD Mine sucked compared to this... (Waltz for the Moon wasn't my first mix, just the first one I uploaded).

I don't quite remember the original (although I have heard it before), so I can only guess how much has been changed. I do, however, like the arrangement alot, and don't remember hearing it like that before. So high score for yous, wearses! XD

The diversity is simple, yet fresh. It's simple in the sense that there's not too many instruments, but on the other hand, it's fresh because it works for this song. It has a lighthearted and carefree feel to it, and you pulled it off beautifully.

As for clarity, I can feel the overall feel and atmosphere of the song being portrayed quite accurately, and applaud you.

Knowing that this was your first mix, and you've managed to execute it so nicely, I can only image how much effort you put into this song. I'm proud of mah bearses! *hugs!* X3

The fact you're only beginning to learn FL Studio, and it's many convoluted sub-programs, and that you've managed this much with way less help than I ever had, shows alot. I'm so proud of you, and can't wait to see how you learn and grow, as you progress. (and please do progress, don't let low scores keep you down).

Nami-Oki responds:

Thank you bears! <3 I did spend like 2 days on it, but it was just because I'm still learning the controls ^_^;

Thank you for the high scorseseses! <33

Wow!

I hear a lot of thrice influence in there... a bit of iron maiden... maybe some machinae supremacy?

Either way... Two thumbs way WAAAAY fucking up.
Nicely done! I'm making a playlist on my ipod for you! XD
Nevermind demo, this sounds like a fucking release song. Very tight sound! >XD

You guys have a CD? I'd totally buy it! Like seriously. (I don't buy CDs, but - hell - I'll make an exception!)

...a fan

Love-Hate-War responds:

Haha thanks man. This is from my band Inca, we're currently in the studio working on our new album. If you email your adress id be happy to send you a free copy man. Thanks for the kidn words!! =D

Oh yum!!!

ORIGINALITY: Aside from the fact that you didn't totally write this, it's beautiful. Love the rendition of the classic tune.

CLARITY: Clear message, but not so clear quality. It sounds washed out. I'd like to hear it more in the foreground.

DIVERSITY: No complaints. It's Charlie Parker after all. ^_^

EFFORT: Can't tell if you put alot into this or not, so ten for you.

OVERALL: Okay, you get 10's accross the board (with the exception of originality and clarity), just because I love this song so much. Very nice rendition of it.

WinTang responds:

Yeah Parker's tune rules huh? I was taking guitar lessons at the time and I had to study this, so I decided to have my little way with it :)
This again has no mastering done whatsoever, it's just 3 guitar tracks (1 does the chords, 1 does the melody and soloing, 1 has distortion and a pitch shifter an octave down and is played with a slide for that incredibly whiny sound).
That makes you absolutely right in your clarity remark!
And glad you liked it still :)

Heya! XD

ORIGINALITY: Very very original. Very well done. No criticisms.

CLARITY: Clearly intended to sound low quality. So I can't complain about that. I loved the gameboy mood that it created. Very inspiring. Maybe I'll write something like this one day.

DIVERSITY: It was a little short. I'd like to see you write more like this. Something longer, and more complete.

EFFORT: Sounds like it took a fair bit of effort to make it sound authentic.

OVERALL: I like it alot, but I'd really like to hear more.

WinTang responds:

Oh it will be fun expanding this idea, this is pure Impulse Tracker fun and I still love working with that program, it's great for goofy 8/16-bit sounding music.
I'll definitely look into a K'nex II!
This was also made before I discovered the wonders of panning so there's lots to gain here still.
So thanks for another fair review!
